Communication Training
From coexisting to collaborating
Teams and organizations become more resilient when communication provides orientation. Different personalities, cultures, and communication styles are real potential. Potential that most companies never fully unlock.

Communication culture is company culture
Every human behavior - language, eye contact, silence, body language, micro-expressions - carries meaning. In practice, this usually shows up in undramatic ways: feedback that doesn't land. A conflict people would rather stay silent about than address. A misunderstanding that takes root because no one asked a follow-up question.
What starts small gets expensive: unclear communication costs time, energy, and eventually your best people, who leave because they don't feel heard. Mixed-culture teams feel this friction even more: what reads as direct and honest in one culture can land as rude in another, and vice versa.

Good communication can be learned and it strengthens people and reduces stress
One feedback conversation or a new team rule rarely changes anything for good. That's why I work on the communication culture itself: giving feedback without hurting each other, raising conflict without letting it escalate, listening even when perspectives differ.
An important building block here: looking closely at cultural differences. In teams with international colleagues - whether German-Spanish or more broadly mixed - good communication requires awareness that directness, how people handle criticism, or their understanding of hierarchy are all culturally shaped. I bring exactly this intercultural perspective from my own experience living and working in Germany, Spain, and France.
More hands-on than theory
The training works with real conversations from your everyday work, not abstract communication models. This includes:
• Training for customer-facing communication and dialogue between companies and customers: in person, on the phone, or digitally
• Workshops and training on feedback culture, conflict conversations, and active listening
• Practical exercises based on real situations from everyday team life, directly applicable
• Formats ranging from a 3-hour session to multi-day trainings, for groups from 6 people
• Available in German, English, Spanish, or French
• On-site or online
Is this a good fit for your team?
My trainings and coaching draw on decades of experience with international teams and leaders. Similar patterns and challenges tend to show up again and again. If any of the following apply to your team, let's talk:
• Recurring friction points, unspoken conflicts, frustration in day-to-day collaboration
• Newly formed, fast-growing, or international teams lacking a shared communication foundation, leading to frequent misalignment
• High turnover among skilled employees, new hires leaving during the probation period
• Employees who want more confidence and ease in dealing with customers
• Your company wants to strengthen its feedback and error culture

Frequently Asked Questions
What is communication training, and how does it work?
Communication training combines theoretical input from communication research with numerous hands-on exercises, interactive methods, and intensive exchange among participants. Teams work on real conversations from their everyday life: giving feedback, addressing conflict, listening actively - rather than just discussing communication models. The format is tailored to the size and needs of the team and agreed together in advance.
How long does a communication training for teams take?
Anything from a compact 3-hour workshop to multi-day formats is possible. Duration depends on how deeply you want to work through the topics.
What team size is this training suited for?
From around 6 people upward; for larger groups, I split into smaller subgroups or add a second training date.
How does the training handle culturally mixed teams?
Intercultural competence is a core part of my offering: I take a close look at how directness, criticism, or understanding of hierarchy are culturally shaped. The theoretical grounding draws on Erin Meyer's 8 culture-mapping dimensions, as well as my own experience as a leader and communication trainer in Germany, France, and Spain.
What languages is the training available in?
I personally deliver all trainings and team coachings, in German, English, Spanish, or French.
What does an in-house communication training cost?
That depends on format, duration, and group size. In a free introductory call, I'll work out with you what fits your team.
